Collaboration and networking
Digital humanities is committed to professional exchange on digital topics with research, cultural and educational institutes and is also active in relevant networks.
Union of the german academies of sciences and humanities
As a member of the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities, the Academy has a close networking relationship with the other state academies in Germany. The digital aspects of this cooperation include regular sharing updates on digital publishing and the interoperability of data as well as staff training and further education.
National Research Data infrastructure
The Academy and the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) were involved in setting up the Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (National Research Data Infrastructure or NFDI), a consortium established in 2020 to make scientific and research data available, interconnected and permanently accessible. As a member of the NFDI e. V. association, the Academy is a participant in several NFDI consortia, including all of those dedicated to the humanities: NFDI4Memory, NFDI4Culture, NFDI4Objects and NFDI4Text+.
dhmuc network
At the local level, the Academy partners with other Munich-based educational and cultural institutions in the dhmuc-Netzwerk (digital humanities in Munich) to promote digitalisation in culture, education and the humanities. Regular meetings and workshops are held to achieve the aims of the network.
